Bournemouth Metropole Street Market returns to Holdenhurst Road this Sunday 29th July. Last year the Market had four themed events. The first two events were ‘ The Big Launch’ and ‘The Day of the Dead’. ‘The Alternative Christmas’ (steampunk theme) and finally the ‘Christmas Candyland’ themed events followed the successful two events.

 The 2018 Events

The visitors have been previously spoiled with ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and ‘Mardi Gras’ themes this year. The ‘Summer Circus’ themed event isn’t to be missed this Sunday 29th. Visitors could look forward to the fantastic funfair. Also featured will be captivating children’s entertainers, triumphal tunes and mouth-watering treats. The diversity offered keeps producing soaring numbers of visitors. The family-friendly atmosphere encourages people to swap their couch and TV remote controls for a refreshing day out.

Families having fun.

The 2018 Awards

The Metropole Market was created to boost Bournemouth’s  local economy.. One of the aims was to increase the numbers of people visiting Lansdowne. The Bournemouth residents and visitors are certainly assured a day full of exceptionally and relaxing fun. The wise idea proved to have worked because the Market has become an increasingly popular event attracting thousands of visitors. It can as no surprise when the Market won the ‘Best Event of the Year Award’ at the National ATCM (Association of Town and City Management) Awards.

Future Events

I keep looking forward to the next event even if I won’t have any single idea of what might be presented next time. Personally, I eagerly wait to witness new twists. There’ll be dazzling costumes to admire, eccentric entertainers full of energy and live music all day delivered with no doubt. I’m sure I’m not the only returning visitor as this proves how successful the Market is becoming.

There’re various things to expect including loads of Trade Stalls showcasing mainly local businesses. I’m proud of living in Bournemouth. I’m extremely privileged to be part of such a cosmopolitan town. I sincerely compliment the dedicated organisers and the rest of the teams involved in executing successful events at the Metropole Market.
