15 May The Christchurch Food Festival 2018
Bigger and Hotter every year
The Christchurch 2018 Food Festival was bigger than never before. It was from the cake to curry, to churros, you name it. It was there. There were twice as much food stalls, with double as much visitors. My suggestion being; go there hungry and leave well fed.
Approaching the area, one was first greeted by the red open-top bus. This bus was now converted into a ‘Pub’. I know. Meaning very good stuff for the drink-lovers. A thick crowd was already exploring around.
Variety is the spice of life.
Plenty of artisan food, seafood and good meats from the local deli, butcher, and other forms of traders presented awesome displays.
Humorous, so I thought…
Vegans catered for too.
What was even more fascinating was the availability of a wide variety of ‘Vegan Foods’ too. I couldn’t help but spot the vegan ice cream van, not too sure to call it a van or not, though…
I love sweet stuff sometimes but this fudge stall left me in stitches. I loved the name ‘Ministry of Fudge’, epic.
Entertainment after Entertainment
There were loads of live street entertainment including live bands too. There was another open-roof bus/bar available.
After strolling around all day, it was time for something to eat. I fancied some Thai curry.
This was a really great day out. If you would like to know more about their events, visit Christchurch Food Festival and get to learn more. Definitely something worth trying next year, if you have never been to Christchurch Food Festival before.
