29 Apr Five Things I Like Most About Hot Rocks Restaurant
Every time I go to a restaurant, to eat, or to just chill and drink, socialising e.t.c, the only thing that will be in my head is FOOD/DRINK. This time around, l took a step further. I came up with five things I like most about Hot Rocks Cocktail Bar & Restaurant, after people kept recommending the place.
1. Hot Rocks supports local charities.
Normally, small actions make big differences. Donating time to charities is considered good. Donating money is very great too. I learnt from Mirena Vasileya (Duty Manager), that Hot Rocks does a lot of humanitarian acts. They are the only restaurant in Bournemouth that donates around £10, 000 towards Julia’s House, a local children’s hospices and the Junior Cherries, which is part of AFC Bournemouth.
Every year, the Air Show takes place in Bournemouth. Hot Rocks also supports and donates for the Royal Navy. Every year people experience the UK’s biggest air festival in Bournemouth. This takes place from 30th August to 2nd September 2018. There will be a lot of aircraft displays and entertainment. Hot Rocks also tends to open their doors to host most of the British Navy. The Royal Navy protects our Nation’s best interest making sure there is peace and stability.
2. They have a wide selection of food.
Hot Rocks’ menu options vary from Italian foods, to Mexican dishes and Thai cuisines just to name a few. You can check their menu for yourself Hot Rocks Menu .
They offer a wide range of cocktails, including hot drinks too.
Whether you have a big or small appetite, you will never be let down.
Children’s menu is full of treats too. Choices are available to carter for individuals to group orders. The now and then homemade special dishes is a must try whenever available, next time you visit.
The wood fired pizza while you wait. Making it very fresh.
3. The restaurant is very spacious.
It’s nice to go to a restaurant that is full of fresh air no matter how busy the place is. Hot Rocks is an independent restaurant with unique setting. It has an aura of exoticness. The surfing board displays can’t be missed as they make their own statement.
Whether you’re alone or you’re a couple, there is always a desirable table readily waiting for you.
Groups or party lovers, there is something for you too. I was jealous of the posing Diva though.
It immediately gives a relaxing effect to the place.
4. Eye contact with staff was good.
I know people might think; “…what the hell is she talking about now…?”. To me, a good service comes with good eye contact if it’s face-to-face dealings. I find some restaurants don’t even bother to look at their customers especially when directly serving them food. To me, it’s like, what are trying to hide from me? Are you trying to warn me in advance that the food you are about to serve me is not good enough but you don’t want to be asked? Or are you trying to tell me that you are not happy with your boss and so you are also not going to care about the customers in return? To me it just means a lot of things when I’m not getting appropriate eye contact with the person serving me.
Hot Rocks stuff seems to be right to the point with their non-verbal communication with customers. I know people are going to think I am a ‘weirdo’ now, but I like ‘people watching’ sometime. This is how I get to assess and evaluate individuals’ behaviours. This is how I also get to rate the service of a place, either to appreciate it or to rubbish it.
5. Hot Rocks is located by the Bournemouth Pier
This makes it easily accessible. Whether you’ve just finished your shopping in the town centre, or you’ve just finished your walk by the Gardens or down the Beach, Hot Rocks is right in the middle of everything.
It seems I have given you details about what Hot Rocks is all about but never got to share my favourite meal. I thought trying to fit both was just going to be madness. Maybe I should share what I personally love to eat from Hot Rocks in one of my future blogs.
